well with hard disk you probably mean flashcard media, which can get very very very expensive, DVD can’t hold much either for its price so i would suggest a DV tape camcorder. which is what most camcorders use, little tiny digital tapes. and if you want you can put it on your computer and edit it then put it on a dvd. which is so much better
Mini-DV tape camcorders still produce better image quality than the others. The two hottest models around 300 pounds are both Canon – the MV880X (currently reduced to 250 pounds at empiredirect), and the MVX460, which has the extra useful features of digital av in, plus a socket for external microphone, but costs about 320-330 pounds.
Both these models are liked by November issue of Digital Video Magazine. I bought the MV880X, and I’m very pleased with it.
