Can I make my digital camcorder take brighter videos?

I have a digital camcorder. It works fine outside, but inside starting around 4:00PM it records really dark. Any way to fix this?

Most consumer level camcorders don’t work well in low light – your only real option is to switch the lights on! You can play around with the brightness and contrast when you’re editing but the results are rarely much of an improvement. Don’t forget to check your white balance if you’re changing the lighting.
