I was wondering if it was possible to hook up a digital camcorder to my computer with a USB port and be able to record something on the camera while the footage is being portrayed on my computer screen at the same time. If not, could someone please tell me how I could?
This is about gadget and consumer electronic information question.

A digital camcorder is not necessary for doing this. What you need is a screen recorder like DemoCreator. Screen recording software helps you to record the computer screen to mirror all of your operations without camera. If you want to record yourself in your video, you need a video camera.
If you want to record your computer screen video (such as tutorials, training videos), you do NOT need a digital cam!
You can just use a screen recorder software like the total screen recorder.

Good luck!
