I am looking at buying a camcorder and I am trying to figure out which is best for me.

Yes you can. You just have to take to to a place where the edit and convert videos. They can transfer your movies to VHS tapes.

you can, but why? i lose quality when you record to vhs tapes…i would suggest burning it to dvd or vcd if dvds are too expensive

Yes you can. Buy a DVD VHS combo player, Make your movie using the DVD camcorder, put the DVD in the DVD VHS player and dub the DVD. Why would you want to do this?, when DVD is much higher in quality than VHS, and DVDs are becoming much more affordable making the VHS virtually useless.
