How long does the battery of your iPod nano holds last?

My iPod is new, Ive had it for 29 days. It takes 2 hours fully charged, and when I listen to music directly, without interruption, the battery lasts 7 hours. On advertising, is at least 24 hours of playback ranges. Is this how the average reading time you can play music, straigh without breaks?
