Will it be better in a camcorder to invest a camera?

I wonder if I should buy the Flip camcorder MinoHD, 2 Generation, or purchase a Nikon D3000. I am new to photography and film, and its basically just a hobby that I do make some memories. Part of me tells me that the camera will be better, but I’m a little confused.

It depends entirely what you are doing more (photography / film). If you are able to spend a little more and go for the Nikon D5000, you can get an entry-level SLR, which is suitable 720p HD movies, all in one.
